Union Jack wall hanging

For the Jubiliee I made two Union Jack wall hangings.
Lucy Deg and I were going to go on a course at Cowslip but decided that we would first print of a pattern from the internet and have a go ourselves. We spent a day with our friend Vanessa cutting, measuring and sewing (sometimes un picking !!) some really lovely fabrics we had bought that morning. We had all chosen very different colours and textures and our finished efforts all looked really fabulous. I was so pleased that a couple of nights later I enlarged the pattern to make a larger version. Here are some photos that I took along the way xx

A lovely cup of tea and some treats for inspiration.

My fabulous new sewing machine.

Trying to match up all the seam lines.

Little and large

Nearly finished.

The two finished wall hangings with my yummy collection of Emma Bridgewater Union Jack and jubilee pieces.
Hoep you like them Ma'am hehe
