First day of the summer holidays YEAH

At last the fabulous summer holidays are upon us. Emily had her last ever day of primary school yesterday which was really emotional for everyone. More i think for me as Emily seemed to be on cloud nine at the prospect of going to 'big school'. I'm so pleased that it is this was around as I would be an even bigger nervous wreck if she was all bothered about it! (we will wait and see!) The children all had a fab day at school in non school uniform and watching films and playing games. It was all hectic and loud when i picked them up.
Today has been a different story completely. I also had the day off work and so got an extra hour in bed. We spent the day at home playing games and watching television. The children didn't even get dressed until Ben got home from work at half past one! What bliss, nowhere to go and nothing to do, everyone very relaxed.
It wasn't until tea time that I realised that there was one last session of cub's tonight.
Sam and I (as i had to help tonight) spent the evening in Tregadillet woods playing catch and eating melted marshmallow and chocolate by the camp fire. The boys had such a good night and all enjoyed the freedom of the wood followed by yummy food. They were all very enthusiastic to lick out the chocolate pan :-)
The girls have gone off to the beach with Ben, Granny Sandra and the dogs for the evening. Ben was going to take his fishing rod to let Emily have a go as she hasn't been in such a long time. They are still not back! but it's dark now so they should be back any minute. I better start making hot chocolate to warm them up when they get home xxx
Painted wall at Lewannick School.  Emily's class did this during their last week
